Purpose
The Soqucoin Foundation is a not-for-profit organization established to provide:
- Development support for the Soqucoin post-quantum cryptocurrency through funding and coordination
- Trademark protection to prevent abuse and fraud using the Soqucoin name
- A trajectory for the long-term development and adoption of Soqucoin
- Research initiatives in lattice-based cryptography and Layer 2 scaling
History
The Soqucoin project began in late 2024 with a vision to create the first production cryptocurrency with integrated post-quantum cryptography. Unlike solutions that retrofit quantum resistance, Soqucoin was designed from the ground up with NIST-standardized Dilithium signatures and LatticeFold+ verification.
The Foundation was established in early 2026 to formalize the governance structure and ensure the project's long-term sustainability. Modeled after successful cryptocurrency foundations, we emphasize transparency, community ownership, and technical excellence.
